Education is a social subsystem with its own structure. Over the past decade the education system Russia has undergone progressive structural and functional changes on a number of directions.
In the 1990s the Russian education system received in the form of the Law “On education” and Law “On higher and postgraduate professional education” one of the most progressive legislations, establishing an extensive autonomy of institutions, especially professional education, and broad academic freedom in the implementation of educational programs.
Concrete steps towards the humanization of education were taken as the appeal to the individual student and pupil. One of the notable characteristics of General education is its variability: a steadily growing number of new types of educational institutions.
However, the outbreak in the country in the last decade, the socio-economic crisis has put before the education system of Russia, a number of acute problems.
The round table is expected to discuss a range of accumulated problems and contradictions and to offer some viable options for improving the system as a whole and its separate elements.
